From Negroni Sbaglitos to the Corn Kid: Here's a look back on the top TikTok trends of 2022

Do you remember them all?!

As we look ahead to 2023, it’s time to start wrapping up the year and what better way than to look back on all of the fun, silly and bat-shit-crazy TikTok trends that took over our FYPs throughout the year?

From Negroni Sbaglitos with prosecco in it to the corn kid 2022 has seen some pretty out-there trends, but we never hesitated to delve right in! Here is a list of all the top trends by month - Do you remember them all?!

JANUARY - “Okay I like it. PICASSO!”
You always need to channel your inner Picasso when working on an art project, right?

FEBRUARY - “I don’t know my fruits”
Who knew getting a pomegranate and grapefruit confused would stir up one of the biggest trends at the beginning of 2022?!

MARCH - Wheels vs Doors
It was the hottest debate of the year and we still haven’t got a solid answer.

All I have to say is that if you think there are more doors than wheels, you’re insane!

For the wheels team:

For the doors team:

APRIL - “My money don’t jiggle jiggle”
One of the most memorable songs to come from TikTok this year came from a great moment in Amelia Dimoldenberg’s Chicken Shop Date Youtube Series. Louis Theroux shared he has rapped in the past and thus was born the top trend in April 2022.

What’s a TikTok trend if there isn’t a dance to go along with it? Thanks to @Jessqualter and her friend we have the iconic dance that took over the platform for months.

MAY - “Ah” Remixes!
Well, this was differently a weird yet satisfying one to add to the list. Remember when we found any and every song that matched that one girl who hit her back on the edge of the bed? Yep, we did that!

JUNE - What I actually look like!
Halfway through the year, we decided to expose what we actually look like by using some weird zoom feature that supposedly shows what other people see when looking at us.

For some, it was a rude awakening!

JULY - “They’re a 10 but…”
Yup, next is the trend that exposed every single one of our icks.

AUGUST - The Corn Kid
It’s the trend of the year bby! The corn kid took over absolutely every aspect of our lives and you know you were singing that song every single second of the day - I know I was.

SEPTEMBER - Butter Boards
Spicing up our wine and cheese nights with a decked-out butter board - I think yes!

OCTOBER - “A Negroni Sbagliato… With prosecco in it”

NOVEMBER - ‘Squirrels In My Pants’
I’d like to personally thank 'Phineas & Ferb' for this masterpiece.

DECEMBER - 2022 season wrap up
With the year coming to a close this trend is a great look back on our year directly from our camera roles.

Sheesh, that was a lot! I wonder what 2023’s trends will look like? Any guesses?
