Lewis Capaldi got mistaken for Susan Boyle and his response is very Lewis Capaldi

“Louis Tomlinson wanted to go out with Susan Boyle"

Lewis Capaldi has provided a very Lewis Capaldi response after finding out he was mistaken for the one and only Susan Boyle.

Someone commented on a TikTok of Capaldi’s about their father incorrectly identifying Lewis as the runner-up of ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ 2009.

“Lewis, my dad saw you on TV and thought you were Susan Boyle,” the comment reads.

In his response video, Lewis doesn’t say a word, he’s just huffing, puffing and pinching where his nose meets his forehead - a true sign of frustration.

Over the video he writes “great start to the new year” on the video and captions it: “I dreamed a dream that ppl stopped telling me I looked like women in their 60s”

I get Capaldi's frustrations: Lewis is a 26-year-old blonde male and Susan Boyle is a 61-year-old brunette female. I know I wouldn't want to be mistaken for someone that's the same age as my mother.

Capaldi’s fans in the comments were quick to try and cheer the ‘Someone You Loved’ singer.

“Harry Styles looks like Susan Boyle - I’d say it’s a compliment,” said one fan.

“The prettiest Susan Boyle we ever did see though,” another added.

“Susan’s a fox, take it as your first W of 2023,” wrote one more.

“Louis Tomlinson wanted to go out with Susan Boyle, it’s a compliment bestie,” a fourth person, deep in One Direction lore, commented.

Every single one of those comments is a truth bomb and Lewis needs to keep that chin up and continue to slay.

The Edge is excited to bring Lewis Capaldi to Auckland and Wellington in July. Get your tickets now!

Speaking of slaying, I’d like to bring attention to a quote Susan Boyle gave to the Sunday Times after appearing on X-Factor and absolutely blowing everyone away with her rendition of ‘I Dreamed a Dream’ in her audition (enjoy that below):

“I know what they were thinking, but why should it matter as long as I can sing? It’s not a beauty contest,” she said, without stuttering once.
