If you somehow didn't know just how obnoxiously rich Kylie Jenner is, her latest Instagram post serves as a lovely tone-deaf reminder of that fact.
The post is a black and white photo of billionaire Kylie and her baby-daddy Travis Scott, as well as their first child Stormi, all embraced in a group, family hug.
Innocent enough so far, right? Well, the photo takes place on the tarmac of an airport, with the famous family positioned between two jets.
The caption reads: “You wanna take mine or yours?”
People online were quick to roast the 24-year-old for the post, calling her out for bragging about her wealth as well as being totally ignorant about climate change and the everyday person.
“Your waste of gas emissions or mine? 😍,” read one comment on her post.
“But it’s us who must use paper straws 😩,” another commented.
“This is why we need to tax the rich,” said a third.
A Twitter account, @CelebJets, keeps track of flight statistics for a bunch of celebrity-owned private jets, tracking distance, duration, location, and sometimes the amount of gas burned for a flight.
And, yeah, one time Kylie’s jet flew for a marathon three minutes, while another time she took a 12-minute flight.
People noted that the trips could’ve easily been done in a car - one tweet put the three-minute flight route in maps and found it would take 39 minutes to drive - and said Kylie using a jet is completely unnecessary and would contribute to global warming.
One Twitter user called her a “climate criminal”, while another just called her straight up “evil”.
Another called it “depressing as f*ck” and called out how the average person has been told to change their lifestyle to combat global warming while the rich can continue to “pollute the earth all day”.
This isn’t the first time the Jenner/Kardashian clan have done something that shows just how out of touch they are.
This year alone there’s been the Kendall vs cucumber incident, as well as the time that Kris and Kylie took a trip to the grocery store and car wash ‘for fun’.
