KFC is getting a fine-dining makeover at popular NZ spot and I'm keen for boujie fried chook

**chef's kiss**

Step aside fancy dining joints, because there's a new finger lickin' spot on the block.

Kiwi chef Hercules Noble is pulling a Colonel, opening a pop-up restaurant called Mr. Sanders, promising a dining experience that's anything but your usual fast food scene.

Look as long as the grease is wiped off the table, I'd say it’s a pretty lush experience.

Hercules will be turning the fried chook classics into a fancy-schmancy five-course set menu to tuck into with a wine-matching option to go with it.

While he’s keeping the menu hush-hush for now, Hercules hinted: “Without giving too much away, one of the hero dishes will feature fan-favourite Hot & Crispy Boneless, but unlike you’ve ever had it before.”

“I’m experimenting with ways to infuse my iconic ‘Will It Sourdough’ bread with the flavours of KFC Potato & Gravy,” he added.

It’ll all be going down at a popular location on Ponsonby Road between March 20th and 22nd.

Spots will be going for $99 or $129 if you're keen for a wine pairing.

And I guess it eases the splurge to know all that cash will be going to Surf Life Saving NZ.

Now, I just gotta know if they gave Hercules the secret 11 herbs and spices recipe. And if so, we’ve got a sweet bribe to take it off his hands.
