Six brand new emojis are coming to your iPhone and they're all extremely random

I don't know when I'll ever use most of these, but they are hella cute.

Group chat reactions are about to level up once iPhones go through their next update.

Forbes predicts that the next iOS 17.4 update will happen in the first week of March and with that, a bunch of new emojis will be ready to go.

According to Emojipedia, there will be six brand new ones Apple users can fire away in the group chat: a head shake, a head nod, a phoenix bird, a lime, a brown mushroom, and a broken chain.

There will also be over 100 new variations of existing emojis. Currently, the walking/running emojis are only in one direction (left) but the update will now have them going in the other direction too.

Finally, there will also be four new family emojis: two adults and one child, one adult and two children, one adult and one child, and two adults and two children.

Apple users seem to be pretty happy with the update, already picking out their favourites.

“SSLAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY,” one person wrote about the lime emoji.

“The nodding emoji is gonna be my brand,” said another.

“YESS, FINALLY A PHOENIX EMOJI,” a third added.

“The first one kinda looks like they’re dabbing with small grey arms,” one more wrote about the head-shaking emoji.

When Apple introduced 21 new emojis last year, fans were fired up as the much anticipated pink heart emoji was apparently the wrong shade.

One person said: “It’s like they wanna make us mad on purpose bc this is not the pink heart we’ve been asking for.”

Apple hasn’t included the ‘right’ shaded pink heart emoji this time around, but it seems there are none that are controversial, so imma give them a ‘head nod’ for that.
