Disney boss Sean Bailey recently dropped a bombshell during an interview with The New York Times.
He spilled the cauldron about Disney's upcoming plans to dazzle audiences worldwide in the coming years. And guess what? They're brewing up a third instalment of Hocus Pocus!
Last year, the long-awaited sequel dropped on Disney+, and it was a real treat for fans everywhere.
Can you believe it had been almost three decades since the original witchy goodness first hit our screens? Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Kathy Najimy reprised their roles and gave us a magical reunion to remember.
Now, I can hear you all chanting, "When? When? When?" Unfortunately, there's no official release date yet, but fear not, my fellow witches. Bailey did mention that his team churns out two to three big-budget films annually for the big screen, along with three slightly less expensive films to stream straight on Disney+.
So, we can hope to hop on our broomsticks and fly into the third Hocus Pocus adventure soon!
But wait, there's more! Disney is working on live-action versions of some beloved classics. Can you imagine a live-action ‘Moana’, ‘Lilo and Stitch’, and ‘Hercules’.
Now, while Disney has given us loads of OG tales, Bailey admits that coming up with original and new storylines has been a bit tricky. But hey, I have faith in their magical abilities!
