MAFS 2022 groom Al Perkins has officially entered the Love Island Aus villa and the footage is pure gold!
Al shared the exciting news by posting to his Instagram account with the caption: “No rings, no churches, just Mr Steal Your Girl and a #LoveIslandAU Villa that won't know what hit it!”
He told TV Blackbox “going on MAFS was one of the best experiences of my life, and everyone knows I was pretty unlucky in finding love.”
“So when this opportunity came up I thought why not have another crack and hopefully find love the second time around? "
He added: “It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to go over to Spain – the sun, meeting beautiful people and just having a great time. I can’t wait!”
We’ve already shared the news that the reality tv star will be appearing in his second Aussie series, but now the bombshell is going to be on our screens daily!
Of course, NZ is a lil behind our pals across the ditch, so prepare to see Al’s entrance sometime next week.
Sophie Monk expressed her excitement at Al Perkins joining the show describing him as a “perfect” choice to Yahoo Lifestyle.
“I was watching him on MAFS and straightaway when I saw him I thought, ‘Why is he not on Love Island?’ because he had never had a girlfriend when he got married. So I think it’s really good for him.”
Although this isn’t Al’s first reality TV gig, Sophie shared that he was “perfectly humble on set.”
She added that “he’s hilarious and he really had a good time.”
“He’s just a very sweet, innocent guy. He hasn’t got a bad bone in his body.”
“He sometimes speaks without thinking, and I don’t even know if it will make the cut sometimes but he’s hilarious.”
Tbh, it makes sense that Al has joined the show - Love Island and MAFS Aus are both linked to Aussie's Nine Network, so it really it’s the perfect reality TV swapsies.
