After a boatload of speculation and telling signs pointing to 'serious problems' between Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner's marriage, it has now been reported that Joe Jonas has officially filed for divorce from his wife.
People magazine has confirmed the filing claims, writing: "The marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken." TMZ provides a little more tea, sharing that a source "with direct knowledge" told them "Sophie likes to party and Joe likes to stay at home. They have very different lifestyles".
It's also said there is a prenup involved for the Hollywood couples split.
The news comes just days after speculation has been circulating that Joe and Sophie's relationship has been on the rocks.
One insider told the outlets the couple, who have two children, have been experiencing “serious problems” in their relationship.
While the news came as a shock for many, there were some telling signs that may have flown under the radar, including Joe spotted not wearing his wedding ring and purging his Instagram of pictures with Sophie.
Over the past three months, Jonas is said to have been caring for their young kids “pretty much all of the time” according to one insider, even while touring the country with his brothers Nick Jonas and Kevin Jonas.
It comes after Page Six reported Sophie was seen dancing in the crowd at Yankee Stadium for the opening night of the Jonas Brothers’ tour last month.
They also recently sold their Miami mansion one year after purchasing it.
Joe and Sophie eloped after the 2019 Billboard Music Awards and had their eldest child, Willa, now two, in July 2020.
On 1 March 2022, it was revealed that the couple was expecting another child, a baby girl, who arrived in July.
