One fan chimed in the comments section of the TikTok above, writing: "People on fauxmoi said they released news about the 'ring' camera to get ahead of SEO on him not wearing his 'ring'. Crazy!"
Others think it may have to do with Joe trying to erase the memory of purity rings he and his brothers used to wear back in their Disney days.
"Because he's "religious". he wore a promise ring and they was a whole agenda with the Jonas brothers being all about chastity," one TikTok commenter wrote.
Either way, this is a strange one all around - since naming the 'Ring camera' is an oddly specific detail.

When the news was confirmed that Joe filed for divorce, TMZ reported a source "with direct knowledge" told them "Sophie likes to party and Joe likes to stay at home. They have very different lifestyles."
Fans have been quick to call BS on these reports, with many saying there has been no evidence of Sophie being a hardcore 'party girl'.
What there is hard evidence of is Sophie talking about being an "introvert" and a "homebody" in an Interview with ET Canada back in 2020.
