Former Married At First Sight groom, Sebastian Guilhaus, has found himself in quite the pickle landing himself behind bars after a wild drug bust in Adelaide.
According to The Advertiser, the Serious and Organised Crime Branch detectives nabbed Guilhaus at his home in Croydon.
What did they find? Welp, they allegedly discovered a whopping 870 grams of methamphetamine in his possession.
Now, let's do some quick math here. That amount of methamphetamine could be worth a whopping $90,000.
Detective Superintendent Billy Thompson had some strong words to say about this big-time haul.
“Methamphetamine causes terrible harm to users and to our communities,” he said.
“Those who traffic illicit drugs in these amounts do so purely for their own greed, they have no care for others.”
The Adelaide Magistrates Court wasn't messing around, charging the 35-year-old reality star with one count of trafficking in a commercial quantity of methamphetamine.
As of now, Guilhaus is sitting tight in custody until his bail hearing, which is scheduled for later this week.
Since the news has been reported, former MAFS bride Hayley Vernon has come to the defence of her friend/ co-star from series 7.
c for my friend and for what this now means for another young man’s life.," she told The Advertiser.
Hayley continued: “What I will say though is over the past few months Seb and I had become great friends."
“I knew Seb was struggling with his mental health, gravitating to me to help and guide him - I just wish I had known what was (allegedly) going on so I could of helped him.”
If you don’t remember, Seb was on ‘Married at First Sight AU’ season 7 back in 2020 and he was partnered with the lovely Elizabeth Sobinoff.
The pair made it past the final vows and continued their relationship for almost eight months before they called it quits in early 2021.
