Married at First Sight’s superwoman Caitlin McConville has served us a cup of hot goss about her on-screen hubby’s ex, following last night's intense commitment ceremony.
ICYMI - Shannon has had continued contact with his ex during the show, oh yeah, and he just so happened to tell his new wife that he was still in love with his ex right before telling Caitlin that he didn’t think she was attractive “in [his] eyes”.
Yeah, that was a bombshell from hell to watch.
In this week’s commitment ceremony, Shannon wrote “stay” even after admitting that he said “disgusting” things to Caitlin to intentionally “hurt her”.
Caitlin pulled the ultimate f-you, by choosing to leave on her own terms, despite the usual rules being that the couple is to continue the experiment for another week if one spouse chooses to stay.
“I deserve to be respected, I deserve to feel wanted, I deserve to be treated like a human being. You don’t deserve me… This here, this isn’t what I wanted.”
“If I’m being honest, if I could do it all over again with someone else I would because I deserve that chance, but this man here does not deserve me, so I will be leaving,” she chose firmly.
Since leaving Caitlin has revealed that Shannon’s ex Jamea contacted her during the show, and I genuinely cannot believe it.
“She messaged me on the show and she was quite upset, but I didn’t reply,” Caitlin revealed to Yahoo! Lifestyle.
She added: “[Jamea] reached out about how she was feeling about it all, but I don’t want to be inserting myself into their relationship.”
Images of Shannon and Jamea have surfaced showing that the two brought in the new year together just weeks before his wedding to Caitlin was set to air - are any of us surprised??
Caitlin being the queen that she is, wished the best for the reunited couple, and tbh this gal needs a round of applause for her dignity shown throughout the shitstorm she was thrown into.
“If it’s true that he’s back with his ex, I wish them both the best and I hope they can make it work,” she said. “There’s no hate here.”
