Ed Sheeran performed an impromptu acoustic performance for tourists visiting Middle Earth.
Ed stopped by the Hobbiton tourist attraction in Matamata earlier this week to do a magical performance of his 2013 tune ‘I See Fire’ from none other than the film of the same year ‘The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug’.
In a post to TikTok, the official @hobbitontours account shared a clip of the singer's performance along with the caption: “We had an unexpected guest at The Green Dragon Inn tonight…”
Also posting the clip to their Instagram story the company wrote: “Guests of our Evening Banquet Tour just had a visit from a very special guest.”
Many fans shared their excitement in the comment section for anyone that was lucky enough to experience Ed’s beautiful performance - I for one am extremely jealous.
One commenter wrote that she “would literally sob if [she] were in that room with him.”
Another agreed writing: “I would never recover!”
“Being in that room must have felt magical,” wrote a third.
This isn’t the only fitting collab Ed has found himself in during his NZ stop of his 2023 Mathematics Tour.

After being gifted a block of the chocolate, Ed Sheeran suggested to Whittaker's that they should donate some of the limited blocks for a fundraiser towards Auckland's flood recovery.
