Rhythm and Vines festival will be raffling off $15,000 worth of tickets and prizes to raise funds for cyclone relief in their 'home' Gisborne.
So, if you want to have the chance to visit that magical hill with all your besties AND help out the town that hosts the festival every year, get amongst!
A donation or purchase of a $20 raffle ticket will put you in the draw to win one of the prizes, which include “Rhythm and Vines camping and VIP tickets, merchandise, side-of-stage experiences, as well as Endeavour Live festival and concert season pass valued at $2000.”
“For 20 years Gisborne has been our home and looked after our guests,” the festival said in a social media post. “Now, more than ever, our hometown needs support to recover from the devastating floods of Summer 2022/2023.”
Every dollar raised will go towards ‘The Disaster Relief Trust’, which “is a registered charity, administered by Gisborne District Council, which means every cent goes to the welfare of those recovering from storm events in this region.”
This is just the start of the festival’s fundraising plans. They say that all their initiatives will now go towards raising money for Gisborne Cyclone Relief but still plan to advocate for their previous charity, LIFELINE.
If you’ve ever been to R&V you know just how accommodating the Gisborne locals are. Every year they put up with massive lines at every fast food spot in the city, every spot at the beach being taken up, and the goddamn traffic.
