'Friends' star Matthew Perry has died at 54, according to reports

Devastating news about one of our fave funny men

Shocking news today that Matthew Perry has been found dead at the age of just 54 years old, according to a report from TMZ

According to the celebrity news outlet, Perry was found at his home in Los Angeles in a jacuzzi, leading law enforcement to suspect drowning as the cause of death.

Sources say there were no drugs found at the scene and the police don't suspect foul play. TMZ says first-responders rushed to Perry's home in response to call regarding a cardiac arrest.

Perry brought the world many years of laughter in his role as Chandler Bing on the iconic 90s sitcom 'Friends'. He appeared in all 234 episodes over the show's 10 season run.

He also starred in movies like 'The Whole Nine Yards' and '17 Again', but hasn't performed on screen since 2017.

Perry has been open about his substance abuse issues, detailing his struggles with painkillers and alcohol in his memoir which came out last year.

He had seemingly been clean in recent times, but his appearance on the 'Friends' reunion show in 2021 drew concern from some fans who felt he looked unwell and was slurring his speech.

We're so saddened to hear about this tragedy, and will bring you more information as it comes to light. Rest in peace Chandler, thank you for all the laughs.
