Taylor Swift is apparently “madly in love” with Matty Healy, the lead singer of The 1975.
Sure, Matty may not fit the mould of the clean-cut men Taylor usually goes for, but that's what makes this romance all the more interesting to investigate.
Let’s not forget, Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn called it quits last month, after six years together, and tbh we're still processing their split.
However, it wasn't long until an "inside source" or three chimed in on what wrecked the relationship, which apparently had simply "run its course".
Now, an insider close to the pair spilled the beans on the potential relationship by announcing the pair are getting ready to go public this weekend.
The source told The Sun: "She and Matty are madly in love. It's super early days, but it feels right. They are both massively proud and excited about this relationship."
So, let's take a look at all the clues that hint Taylor and Matty may be secretly dating.
First off, these two have been each other's biggest fans for years. They met back in 2014 when Taylor attended one of The 1975's concerts with her bestie Selena Gomez.
Taylor was spotted wearing one of the band's T-shirts, and Matty returned the favour by performing in a top from her 1989 album. That’s a bit freaking cute!
While rumours of a romance between these two have been swirling since 2014, Taylor has always denied them.
However, Matty himself confirmed that they were texting each other. In an interview with 2Day FM, he spilled the beans, saying: "Yeah, we met each other, we exchanged numbers in the same way that a lot of people in this kind of world do, and we spoke occasionally."
But it's not just exchanging digits, no, because Taylor has already met Matty's mom!
Now if you’ve ever been in a relationship, everyone knows is a HUGE obstacle to get past. After all, mumma knows best, right?!
