After a six-year relationship, we have confirmation that Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn called it quits a few weeks ago, which we're still processing, tbh.
Of course, it wasn't long until an "inside source" or three chimed in on what wrecked the relationship, which apparently had simply "run its course".
"It's why [Alwyn] hasn't been spotted at any shows," the unnamed person told ET.
The break-up was described as "not dramatic", which is all fine and good, but you best BELIEVE the inevitable heartbreak album will be.
While neither star has released a public statement about the end of their relationship, another source close to both Swift and Alwyn told People Magazine that "differences in their personalities" played a significant role in their break up.
"They've had rough patches before and always worked things out, so friends thought they would take some time apart but eventually come back together." the source said.
"Ultimately, [they] weren't the right fit for one another."
Both Swift and Alwyn kept their relationship, which is thought to have officially started in September 2016, to themselves, choosing to keep their private lives, well… private.
One insider said the 32-year-old actor also struggled with Swift's fame and attention and didn't like the limelight the pop superstar garnered.
Speculation is now swirling that the 33-year-old popstar has been hinting at the breakup during performances on The Eras Tour, changing out her song 'Invisible String' for 'The 1', which can only be described as a breakup song.
Fan footage captured a moment where Taylor teared up while performing Champagne Problems, leaving Swifties wondering if she was grieving the end of her relationship on stage before anyone knew.
