After claiming that Taylor Swift was her "only friend in the industry," Selena Gomez has responded to the major backlash from fans and is now beefing with her celebrity best friend and kidney donor Francia Raísa.
While promoting her new documentary ‘Selena Gomez: My Mind & Me’, Selena told Rolling Stone that despite her stardom she often felt isolated from other celebs in the industry.
“I never fit in with a cool group of girls that were celebrities… My only friend in the industry really is Taylor [Swift], so I remember feeling like I didn’t belong.”
It's unclear whether she was speaking generally about the entertainment industry or specifically about the music industry, but either way, it seems Francia took it personally as both an actress and Selena’s long-time friend.
Francia, Selena's friend of over ten years, reportedly wrote that the ‘My Mind & Me’ stars quote was "interesting" in a since-deleted comment from an E! News Instagram post over the weekend.

Nearly five years after the 30-year-old revealed she got a kidney transplant as a result of her Lupus diagnosis and that her friend Francia was the donor, the singer has responded to the snarky comments about their friendship.
Selena seems to be having none of the drama as she later apologised for “not mentioning everyone” she knows in the industry on a viral TikTok about the incident.
According to PopCrave, Francia unfollowed Gomez following the statement, which of course infuriated fans of both celebrities who believed the other was being p-e-t-t-y.
Some Selena argued that Francia was not mentioned because her relationship with Gomez exists outside of the industry and celebrity circles. Others are saying that she is taking this whole situation a little too personally.

However, Francia Rasa's supporters believe she has a right to be furious since she was left out of any interviews or Gomez's documentary.
Either way, it seems that Selena and Francia’s friendship is as rocky as ever rn, which is a shame since they have previously referred to each other as sisters.
