Timothee Chalamet's next film is a cannibal romance

Just to be clear: Armie Hammer is not involved in any of this

The first images have dropped for Timothée Chalamet’s next movie - and it's worth getting excited.

In the upcoming film titled  ‘Bones and All’  Chalamet will play a run-away teen on a road trip across America. Along the way his character meets a girl named Maren and the two fall in love.

Oh, and Maren is a cannibal.

Set in 1980’s America, we expect this ‘Bonnie and Clyde’ style love story will have some great fashion moments - but so far all we have to go by are a few images from the film. The recently released photos show Chalamet sporting a messy faded mullet, tattoos and some seriously ripped jeans.

Based on a novel by Camille DeAngelis, 'Bones and All’ will be directed by ‘Call Me by Your Name’s’ Luca Guadagnino.‘ It’s the first project Guadagnino and Chalamet have worked together on since 2018’s ‘Call Me by Your Name’ made the young actor an international star.

In an interview the director spoke about the cannibal storyline.

“Of course, there’s the literal aspect of it being a movie about cannibal lovers, which is extreme in many ways, but I think the more extreme aspect of the movie is the intensity of the feelings that these people go through—the impossibility of love.”

Timothée Chalamet is yet to speak about the project, but he has taken to instagram with a single image from the film. In typical Chalamet fashion, his caption was brief  ‘Bones & All.’

From these images, it looks like ‘Bones and All’ could be Gen Z’s answer to True Romance

But if you're squeamish, ‘Bones and All’ could be one film you want to skip. The movie has been described as a ‘“horror love story”. The director raked in awards for his indie teen love stories (‘Call Me By Your Name’, ‘ We Are Who We Are’), but he also directed the recent Dakota Johnson horror film ‘Suspiria’ and the man can do gore! (if you know you know).

Me…I’m a horror girl and I couldn’t be more excited.

‘Bones and All’ will premiere at Venice Film festival on November 23.
