McDonald's have released a list of their busiest stores across New Zealand, and you're in for a suprise if you thought it was just the most popular places.
The list is based off of total sales in 2021 with COVID making an impact of the rankings.
"Some of the Auckland restaurants we’d normally expect to see in the top 10 like Greenlane didn’t make it, but there are some that are pretty consistently in the top-ranking restaurants." said a spokesperson for McDonald's.
From the list, only one store from the South Island, and two Auckland and Wellington locations managed to crack the top 10.

- Lincoln Rd, Auckland
- Porirua (also known to be NZ's first-ever Macca's restaurant)
- Andersons Bay, Dunedin
- Hastings
- Lower Hutt

- Mangere, Auckland
- Whakatane
- New Plymouth
