A hot cross bun ice cream truck is hitting NZ with toppings like bacon, marmite and blue cheese

don't panic - you can still get normal stuff like sprinkles and jam too!

Easter is sneaking up on us, and if you're anything like me, you're already drooling over the thought of sinking your teeth into a pack of hot cross buns. But this year, those beloved buns are getting an icy makeover.

From the 20th to the 31st of March, a Woolworths ice cream truck will be making its rounds across Tāmaki Makaurau and Tauranga, scooping and serving up hot cross buns filled with ice cream!

You can choose between their whole hot cross bun selection including Hershey’s chocolate, Caramilk, Brioche, Biscoff and a few gluten-free options too.

They've really gone all out with a massive lineup of toppings. You've got your OG sweet-tooth faves like bananas, strawberries, sprinkles, and chocolate sauce. But for those feeling a bit more adventurous, there's a maple syrup and bacon bits combo on the cards.

For the daredevils among us, they're even dishing out a marmite, kimchi and blue cheese to top your scoop, and that to me is just wrong!

I wanna know who was put through the taste-testing of THAT trio in their bun... are ou okay??

You’ll want to hop on over early because Woolworths says they’ve got limited scoops and buns to serve up at each location.

Grabbing a sandwich for a small gold coin donation seems like a fair deal with all donations heading towards helping KidsCan.

It’s awesome to see Woolworths helping out Kiwi kids and whānau in need.
