Talent levels are through the roof!

Kiwi legends L.A.B released their new album ‘L.A.B VI’ last week and treated us to a special live performance of their hit track ‘Casanova’ right here at The Edge.

This album marks the band’s sixth album after their tireless effort of pushing out their first five projects in just five years, and whoa, this one was worth the wait!

Chatting to The Edge Breakfast’s Clint, Meg, and Dan, the boys revealed ‘L.A.B VI’ had been in the works for the last two years.

Featuring their iconic reggae sound, the project is made up of 11 tracks, including 'Take It Away', 'Casanova', 'Oh No (Pt. 2)', and their latest release ‘Ocean Demon’.

“We go down to Wellington to record, and we basically camp out there,” they said on the process of creating the project. “We take the sleeping bags and a pillow and sleep in the studio all night.”

Aside from their insanely talented skills as musicians, a key part of the album is the artwork on the front.

Their new album's art portrays a person and an alien locking eyes, plus Illuminati symbols throughout.

The boys revealed the incredible artist behind the work is Kiwi Natalie Mentor who has created every other piece for each of their albums.

‘L.A.B VI’ is out now, and it’s safe to say we’ll be pumping it at full volume.
