Calling all Disney kids!! Dust off your wizard wands because we’re FINALLY getting the ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ reboot we’ve been begging for since the show ended in 2012.
Our fave big brother, Justin Russo - David Henrie - shared a teaser clip full of throwback clips that remind us of sitting cross-legged in front of the telly.
According to Deadline, Disney Branded Television has called an ✨edgebonoutoosis✨ and ordered a pilot for a brand new sequel series.
Selena Gomez and David Henrie, are not only executive producing but reprising their roles as the iconic Alex and Justin Russo.
So far, Selena is set to appear only in the pilot episode, but I’ve got all my fingers and toes crossed for a few more appearances throughout.

Joining them will be some new faces; Janice LeAnn Brown (Young wizard protégé), Alkaio Thiele (Justin’s son Roman Russo) and Mimi Gianopulos (Justin’s wife Giada).
The sequel will pick up after a mysterious incident at WizTech. Justin traded his wizard powers for a simple human life, with a wife and two sons.
However, magic comes knocking on his door in the form of Billie, a powerful young wizard in need of guidance – enter the typical Russo family chaos.
We’re yet to find out if any other familiar faces are set to appear in the show. Jennifer Stone (Harper Finkle) and David DeLuise (Jerry Russo) have previously mentioned on an episode of their ‘Wizards of Waverly Pod’ that they’d be up for it if the time came.
Jennifer actually revealed there could have been an Alex/Haper spinoff right after the show ended.
I mean, they have a whole podcast recapping their experiences on the show, so the chances are pretty high!
Until then, I’m going to be binge-watching the entire OG to brush up on my spells!
