This 'healthy' lolly cake recipe swapping the LOLLIES for veggies is criminal

This is why we can't have nice things!

Someone has gone and messed with the cherished lolly cake recipe, and I’m worried that after the whole 'healthy' fairy bread debacle, this is now becoming a trend.

My jaw dropped to the floor when one X (formerly known as Twitter) user posted the heinous recipe that includes swapping the oh-so-loved fruit puffs for beetroot powder and turmeric.

Tell me that is not some sort of crime.

Veggie juices? Brown rice syrup? Sorry but what is that? There is simply no ‘lolly cake’ without the sugary goodness that is LOLLIES!

Apparently, it’s a “low-sugar alternative to a kids-fave sweet treat that we all love.”

Who let Kourtney Kardashian into the party?

I mean, I will give props for the fact the recipe is gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, paleo and has the option to make it keto - it’s pretty impressive in that department.

The recipe is very similar to the 'healthy' fairy bread that was doing the viral rounds last year.

A ‘cook’ on TikTok had figured out the #1 way of giving your child trust issues by creating the 'healthy' alternative.

Get this - TikToker Fatima Homran squeezed the life out of some carrots and a poor unsuspecting cabbage, using their juices to dye coconut for the ‘sprinkles’ in place of the sugary goodness of 100s & 1000s.

I'm officially starting a petition for everyone to stop using veggie juices to substitute the one enjoyable part of eating these ICONIC snacks.

I’m not too keen on giving either of these a go, but who am I to yuck someone else's yum? If you whip up a batch and have an opposing opinion, I’d love to see what you think in the comments - but you won’t!
