A FB glitch sent 36 friend requests to profiles this gal stalked and you might've done it too

“I added friends of my boyfriend, their girlfriends—who I’ve never met!"

The funniest yet scariest glitch has spooked Facebook users after the app was automatically found sending friend requests to any and every account you viewed.

So, if you were causally stalking your ex just to ‘see what they’re up to’ then maybe you wanna go back and check that there isn’t a rogue friend request sitting in the pending requests.

Oh, and to make matters worse, once the friend requests were sent, horrified Facebook users took to TikTok to warn others that it was impossible to delete the damage that had already been done.

Honestly, a nightmare to end all nightmares!

Luckily, the glitch only lasted for a little less than 24 hours, before the GC’s at Meta fixed the glitch.

“We fixed a bug related to a recent app update that caused some Facebook friend requests to be sent mistakenly,” a representative from Meta told The Daily Beast.

“We’ve stopped this from happening and we apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.”

While that apology is all well and good, let’s spare a thought for those who didn’t make it through unscathed!

According to TikTok user Kimmy, she was “absolutely slaughtered” by the glitch, totalling a whopping 36 mistaken friend requests sent during the short period of the glitch.

In her video, Kimmy explained: “Two nights ago, Facebook absolutely slaughtered me for snooping. Facebook came for me… came for everyone!”

“I added 36 people. I added…my ex-boyfriend from 10 years ago? I added his wife. I added my eighth-grade science teacher.”

But that wasn’t it, oh no, Kimmy was in for a deep dive stalk.

She continued: “I added friends of my boyfriend, their girlfriends—who I’ve never met. I’ve never even met his friends. We’re quite new in this relationship so to do that is really fucking weird.”

I think it’s safe to say, this might go down as one of the worst glitches we’ve ever seen on the app and while it may be a good little laugh for some, others will still be feeling the embarrassment…

BRB, going to check all of the friend requests I’ve sent, you know, just to make sure I’m good!
