Thriller fans strap your blindfolds on because Netflix has announced ‘Bird Box’ is coming back with a surprise spin-off five years later.
The streaming platform dropped a teaser clip for the upcoming sequel, ‘Bird Box Barcelona’, and let me tell you, I am popping the popcorn as we speak!
In a post on its official Twitter account, Netflix wrote: “Are you ready to see... again?”
The spin-off will focus on how the mysterious virus impacted parts of Europe - specifically Spain.
Netflix's official synopsis for the film reads: "From the producers of the global phenomenon, Bird Box, comes 'Bird Box Barcelona', an expansion of the film that riveted audiences in 2018.”
"After a mysterious force decimates the world’s population, Sebastian must navigate his own survival journey through the desolate streets of Barcelona. As he forms uneasy alliances with other survivors and they try to escape the city, an unexpected and even more sinister threat grows."
