Girl who started her first full-time job realises she hates working full-time

"It's just so like, ugh"

Today marked the first day of full-time work for 21-year-old Cassandra Jones, a recent AUT graduate who, only yesterday, couldn't wait to join the professional world. Little did she know that her dreams of success and fulfillment would be quickly crushed upon her arrival at the office.

"It's so boring here," Cassandra said with a sigh. "I feel like I'm already counting down the minutes until I can leave."

Cassandra spent her day answering emails, reading workplace policies, and making the same small talk with her equally-lifeless coworkers, all of which she found to be painfully mundane.

To make things worse, her boss was a punishing taskmaster who seemed to take pleasure in micromanaging her every move.

"I feel like I'm in a prison," Cassandra said.

Despite her dissatisfaction, Cassandra says she'll stick it out for the time being.

"I need the money," she said. "I blew out over summer and we're only halfway through festie season, and my seven Afterpays won't pay for themselves."

More to come.
