Sunscreen lotion is the bane of summer for many Kiwis. But with the highest rates of melanoma in the world, it's essential we slip, slop and slap on the greasy, smelly stuff.
Now in a move that will bring some summer delight, and leave some disgusted, Kentucky Fried Chicken has launched a KFC-smelling SPF 30 sunscreen.
We made a sunscreen and it's free* and it smells like fried chicken and fried chicken smells delicious.https://t.co/fdqaJWcnpY

The Extra Crispy sunscreen "helps protect your skin while the real fried chicken scent leaves you smelling delicious!" the US fast food giant's website says.

It began as a giveaway of 3000 bottles, but supplies ran out as fast as greased lightning.
But despite smelling like their famed products, the company is reminding people on Twitter not to eat it.
There are no details about if more of the bizarre form of sun protection will be released, but KFC has left an entertaining website for sun-bathers to peruse while they wait for another batch.
