Macy Baez was BORN to dance!
The 15-year-old was also born profoundly deaf, which makes this story even more amazing.
Her crew from Illawarra, Australia, has competed in hip hop champs, and she has her sights set on a career touring as a back-up dancer for the likes of Beyoncé or Janet Jackson.
Macy says dancing allows her to speak another language. "Instead of just speaking English, I can tell people about my story, about who I am."
A cochlear implant allows her to hear some sound, but in order to dance, she feels the vibrations of the music – the bassier, the better.
The teen is so impressive that Sony's built a campaign around her and commissioned a special bass-heavy track specifically for Macy to dance to.
Despite the attention, Macy looks up to a Kiwi dancer who's also been gaining international acclaim, Parris Goebel.
"She's an amazing female dancer. She's very strong, independent, and every time she moves, she moves so big."
Story was with Macy as she filmed the new campaign, spoke to hearing-impaired teens and danced with Parris' crew.
