Whether you’ve seen it or not, ‘Saltburn’ has been the talk of TikTok since its release late last year, with loads of scenes having us watching between our fingers.
One particular moment that got us scrambling to pick our jaws up off the floor was the now-infamous bathtub scene.
SPOILER ALERT: ICYMI - Oliver, played by Barry Keoghan, is infatuated with Felix (Jacob Elordi’s). So much so he peeks in on Felix having some, ahem, alone time in the bathtub.
Oliver enters the bathroom after Felix leaves and in the mix of curiosity and obsession, decides to slurp up what's left of the bath water before it goes down the drain.
If you've seen it, you know that water looked scarily realistic. If you haven't, TikTok's got you covered with plenty of clips and edits of the moment that are a little too much for me to share here.
Despite how grossed out the scene left many fans, the film’s production designer has revealed to Business Insider that the realistic goop was made with very simple ingredients.
As it turns out, “he was drinking yogurt and a bit of milk and some water”.
It seems it actually might be more delicious than it sounds because Barry filmed the scene four times and according to Suzie: “really went for it.”
So, there you have it! The next time you watch ‘Saltburn’, just remember, that behind every shocking scene, there's a team of creative minds making movie history, one slurp at a time, lol!
