Rita Ora and Taika Waititi have been livin’ la vida ogre, and by that, we mean literally embodying our favourite green ogres, Shrek and Fiona.
In one of the most strange, confusing and chaotic videos we’ve seen on our feeds (perhaps ever), Rita gave a house tour of the mud-laden swamp.
In the video tour of the new swamp-themed AirBnB, Rita really committed to the bit despite having a wig fighting a losing battle against her hair and a neck that missed the green memo.
The pièce de résistance to her whole character was her bizarre accent, which is apparently supposed to be Scottish.
We’ll skip over the fact Fiona is American to question who asked for this? WHOM?!
An extra layer was added to the bizarre tour when Taika wearing a full-gas Shrek mask appears on the screen flipping off the camera, shouting “We don’t like visitors” before tackling Rita, ahem, Fiona onto the bed.
I am speechless…
I mean props to the couple for living their swamp life to the fullest, but all we are left asking is whyyyy? Halloween was almost two weeks ago!
ICYMI - AirBnB has peeled back the layers (just like an onion) to reveal that you can now stay in Shrek’s Swamp.
We know Shrek doesn’t like visitors being in his swamp (as Taika reminded us), but AirBnB says Donkey is house-sitting, so doors are wide open!
“He’s rolling out the welcome mat to host fairytale creatures of all kinds while he’s there.”
While I don’t think he expected two famous celebs to cosplay as Shrek and Fiona, here we are.
The hutt features Shrek’s iconic bed, Donkey’s chair and a personal fave is the puffer fish bedside lamp.
Oh, and if you need to pop to the loo while you’re there the outhouse is only a few steps outside the front door, so watch out for frogs.
