Ariana Grande broke down in tears in a candid video for Vogue, where she spoke openly about all of the cosmetic work she had done over the years.
Ariana Grande revealed her evolving relationship with beauty and confessed that in her earlier days, she used to amp up her look with bigger hair - We all know her signature ponytail - and thicker eyeliner as some sort of disguise.
But now, at 30, she's embracing makeup as a tool for "self-expression" to accentuate her natural beauty rather than "hide" behind it.
In the video, Ariana owned up to getting "a tonne" of lip fillers and Botox in the past. However, she revealed that she hit the brakes on those treatments back in 2018 because she felt it was getting a bit "too much".
"I just felt like hiding, you know?" Ari said, as her eyes began to well up with tears.
"I didn't expect to get emotional... For a long time, beauty was about hiding for me and now I feel like it's not."
Although she isn't ruling out the potential of getting filler and Botox again, Ari is confidently embracing her laugh lines and smile lines, seeing them as signs of a life well-lived.
"I hope my smile lines get deeper and deeper, and I laugh more and more. Aging can be such a beautiful thing."
"Now, might I get a facelift in 10 years? I might, yeah! But These are just thoughts I thought we should be able to discuss if we're sitting here talking about beauty secrets... To each their own."
It's refreshing to hear a major Hollywood star say "fuck it, let's lay it all out there" and openly discuss her insecurities and the beauty standard of today.
Sure, she's had her fair share of filler, but you have to respect her honesty and vulnerability in sharing her journey so publically.
Ariana has previously addressed fan's concerns and comments on her body.
