Lizzo got so overwhelmed by the outpouring of love during her ‘Special Tour’ in Auckland last night that she couldn't help but shed some happy tears.
And hey, who could blame her? The entire stadium was rocking with positive vibes, and she was feeling the love from every corner.
The heartwarming moment was caught on video by our Edge journalist Mon. It shows Lizzo looking out to the cheering audience, smiling and mouthing the words “I’m Happy,” while wiping tears from her face.

She then decided to open up to all of us like we were her besties in a late-night chat sesh, expressing her gratitude for having the coolest life ever and being able to share it with all of us.
Seriously though, we're the lucky ones here!
She said: “I’m so filled with gratitude that this is my life and I get to share it with all of you.”
“I’m just a lil chubby black girl from thousands of miles away just singing my songs and you feel my story and support me and you like me, you really, really like me!”
The crowd erupted into a cheer as she continued to share her more vulnerable side: “You know I had a hard time back in 2020 and I didn’t know how I was gonna emerge and I came out and I feel like I’ve been through it all, we’ve all been through it all and we’re stronger, we’re better and most importantly we’re together.”
“Thank you for making my dreams come true!”
She finished: “I used to perform for 50 people with one microphone, a cord and a fold-out chair with a DJ. That was a f***ing dream come true, so this is beyond a dream, thank you!”
If you were lucky enough to be at the show last night, I think we can all agree that it was an absolutely special moment to be a part of and we wish we could do it all again!
