Taylor Swift 'had fun', but her romance with The 1975's Matty Healy is officially over

"She had fun with him, but it was always casual."

It looks like Taylor Swift and Matty Healy are no longer an item.

Yep, after fueling those romance rumours for just over a month, they've decided to call it quits. TMZ was on the case and got the scoop from a source who revealed that Taylor Swift is "single" and back on the market.

According to People magazine, a close source to Taylor spilled the beans and said, "She had fun with him, but it was always casual." So, it seems like things were never too serious between them.

During their brief fling, Taylor and Matty were seen together in public quite a few times. They even showed up at Electric Lady Studios in New York City on May 15, holding hands and rubbing elbows with other famous faces like Jack Antonoff, Margaret Qualley, Kendrick Lamar, and Florence Welch.

Matty was really making an effort to be a part of Taylor's life. He attended all six of her Eras Tour shows in Nashville and Philadelphia, and he even hung out with her dad Scott and some of her celebrity pals like Blake Lively and Gigi Hadid. He was really putting in the effort, but it seems like it just wasn't meant to be.

Just a couple of weeks ago the pair were caught kissing at an exclusive members-only venue in New York City. Well, it seems like that was the beginning of the end.

Just a few days later, Matty made a cryptic comment during a performance at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend in Scotland. He asked the crowd, "Is it all a bit? Is it sincere? Will he ever address it? All of these questions and more will be ignored in the next hour. Ladies and gentlemen, this is The 1975." Well played, Matty, well played.

While we don't know the reasons behind the two lovers splitting, what we do know is this is another celebrity romance that simply wasn't meant to be... Add it to the list!
