1D's Louis Tomlinson 'devastated' after 100 fans injured from golf ball sized hail during show

People were using cardboard boxes and table to shelter from the storm.

Louis Tomlinson is ‘devastated’ after his recent show in the US experienced some unexpected weather that left many of his fans injured.

The former One Direction member’s solo gig at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado took an unexpected twist when a fierce hail storm poured down during his performance. 

According to the Los Angeles Times, roughly a hundred fans got caught up in the chaos, with seven concertgoers hospitalised from their injuries.

Louis, bless his heart, took to Twitter to express his heartbreak: “Devastated about the show tonight, hope everyone’s ok, I’ll be back! Even though we didn’t play the show I felt all of your passion! Sending you all love!”

He later followed up with another Tweet out to fans, sending love and well wishes to those who were injured.

According to multiple who took to Twitter, the storm unleashed hail stones the size of golf balls.

One fan shared some footage from the venue, showing the giant hail stones pelting down on screaming fans. 

Another fan shared her shocking injuries, writing; “Physically, emotionally and mentally damaged. Scariest experience of my life…”

It truly looked like a terrifying experience, here’s hoping that everyone is now on the mend after experiencing that horrific hail.
