Instagram is down, I repeat, Instagram is DOWN!!
According to Downdetector, users all over the world are having trouble with both the Instagram app and the website.
The website has received over 98,000 reports of Instagram being down in the past 15 minutes.
While we don't have any confirmation on why the app is down, it's been reported by Forbes that many users have experienced that their feeds simply aren't loading, while others are having trouble logging into the app at all.
When trying to refresh your feed a pop-up reads: “Sorry, something went wrong,” or just “Sorry, couldn’t refresh feed."
So where do we go to find out whether one social media app is down? Another obvi!
Twitter is in a shamble over the photo and video-sharing app being down.
One account questioning the outage has asked its followers whether their app is working and at the time of writing, 99.3% of respondents answer "yes".
Others are simply making light of the situation, flooding Twitter with memes.
One user joked: "Instagram Models after seeing that the app is down."
While another admitted they needed to apologise to their WIFI.
A third shared what they imagined the Twitter offices looking like during the Instagram outage.
While we wait for an update on whether Instagram will be back up and running any time soon, we will be stuck in this Twitter meme rabbit hole, lol!
