Two-time former Married At First Sight Australia bride Elizabeth ‘Lizzie’ Sobinoff has confirmed she’s pregnant, but her announcement also came with a very strong message about women’s body image to fans.

Comments flooded in from fans questioning if Lizzie is pregnant all because of the way her hands are positioned covering her stomach in the first of a series of pics the former MAFS bride shared to Instagram.
Lizzie then shared in a post yesterday that she's been getting a lot of comments about her body, especially surrounding her potential baby bump.
But instead of having the opportunity to confirm the news on her terms, the MAFS star took the opportunity to remind everyone that a woman's body is her own business and that we should all be a little more respectful.
“Looking at some of these comments in the last few posts I’ve done. Always so much focus on a woman’s body (I’ve had more than my fair share). I’m navigating my body right now, so many changes, especially internally (I’ve been pretty sick). I also understand so many people are excited. So am I!!!! It’s an exciting time in our lives right now. I’ll talk about my experience with it in the future. Mama bear is just nesting right now,” Lizzie captioned her announcement.
We couldn't agree more! So, let's all give Lizzie and her hubby Alex Vega some space to enjoy this exciting new chapter. And who knows, maybe she'll share more of her pregnancy journey in the future.
For those who need a little reminder, Lizzie was a fan favourite on MAFS AU after appearing in both the 2019 and 2020 seasons.
She had a bit of a rocky start with Sam Ball, who not only made cheated on her with Ines Basic, but later found love with Seb Guilhaus. Although things didn't work out in the long run, Lizzie finally found her match with her husband Alex, who she married earlier this year.
Congratulation to Lizzie and Alex, and we look forward to following Lizzie’s pregnancy journey if/when she feels ready to share.
