Heidi Klum is facing some heat following a “tone deaf” April Fool’s day fail that came across as “offensive”.
On the day of the jokes, Heidi along with her fellow judges on America’s Got Talent posted their prank to Instagram.
Heidi is pictured wearing a prosthetic baby bump as Sophia Vergara is bending down to kiss the 49-year-old’s belly.
"Congratulations Heidi Klum. Co-workers Sofia Vergara and I are the first to know," Howie Mandell wrote as the caption that started the outrage
The post was met with less than impressed fans of the celebs, criticising the lack of respect for women who may struggle with fertility.
“If this is an April Fool’s prank- I’m disgusted! So disrespectful,” wrote one angry user.
Another wrote: “Please don't joke about being pregnant. There are so many people out there that are trying to get pregnant and you are basically mocking them.”
While a third believed the celebs “should know better.”
Heidi has not yet spoken on the backlash received surrounding her failed prank, however, I think fans are eagerly awaiting an apology.
Maybe next year Heidi should try a less controversial approach to her joke, did you see Usher pretend to bring Beyoncé out on stage during his concert?! He really got me with that one!
