Adele bawls her eyes out sharing her song inspired by James Corden in last ever carpool karaoke

"I was floored how you'd taken everything I was feeling and just put it in a verse."

James Corden has officially taken his final Carpool Karaoke ride. With none other than Adele behind the wheel, let me tell you it was an uber-emotional final trip.

The two close friends teared up sharing one of the hardest conversations they’ve ever had, which inspired Adele to write a verse in one of her latest hits.

It had to be the most touching part of the ride when Adele revealed that her song 'I Drink Wine' was inspired by a conversation she had with James during a six-hour car ride.

She talked about how unsafe she felt with James feeling unsafe and how that conversation prompted her to write the first verse of the song for him.

"We'd been on vacation together with the kids, and we were on our way home and… I remember I said to you on the way home, 'What's wrong?' You just seemed down," she recalled.

"BUT IT GOT ME THINKING, I FELT SO UNSAFE WITH YOU FEELING UNSAFE… AND THEN I WENT TO THE STUDIO A COUPLE OF WEEKS LATER AND I WROTE THIS."

James was floored by the fact that their honest conversation led to such a beautiful piece of music, and it was clear that their friendship meant the world to him.

"I was floored by how you'd managed to take everything that I was feeling about myself and life and just put it in a verse,” he said of the song.

“IT'S THE GREATEST PRIVILEGE THAT FROM SOMETHING, FROM A CONVERSATION SO HONEST BETWEEN TWO FRIENDS THAT YOU WOULD CREATE SUCH A THING, THAT BLOWS MY MIND.."

As they rode around, Adele opened up to James about how sad she was that he was leaving Los Angeles to return to England with his wife and three children.

The two shared a deep bond and Adele revealed how much she is going to miss having the security of knowing her friend was living in the same city.

"You're one of my best friends in the whole world. I'm gonna miss you so much," Adele said at the end of the clip before breaking into tears.

"I'M JUST NOT READY TO COME BACK [TO ENGLAND], OTHERWISE I WOULD COME BACK WITH YOU."

As the ride came to a close, the two couldn't help but shed some tears as they said their goodbyes. James reminded Adele that they would see each other tomorrow, and the two burst into a giggle.

James’ last ever 'Late Late Show' airs in America tomorrow night, and we will be able to view it not long after. He will be joined by special guests Harry Styles and Will Ferrel so it’s sure to be a great one and we can’t wait to see how the show comes to a close.
