'Disgusting and unfair': Sydney Sweeney calls out haters for tagging her family in NSFW scenes

“You have a character that goes through the scrutiny of being sexualised , and then an audience that does the same thing.”

Sydney Sweeney has clapped back at the haters who have been tagging her family members in online snippets of her naked from the hit HBO series ‘Euphoria’.

Sydney shared how she really feels in a recent interview about the online trolls who continue to shame her for her NSFW scenes.

She told British GQ: “It’s completely disgusting and unfair.”

“You have a character that goes through the scrutiny of being a sexualised person in school, and then an audience that does the same thing.”

"My cousins don't need that," she added.

However, the actress said that the trolls won’t scare her out of participating in a nude scene in the future.

She said, "I think it's ridiculous… I play characters because I'm an artist. It encourages me to play characters who enrage people more."

For now, Sweeney is focused on balancing her many upcoming projects, from Sony's ‘Madame Web’ with Dakota Johnson to leading the ‘Barbarella’ reboot.

Sweeney revealed she started to feel overwhelmed when she was working on a number of projects over the summer.

"I put so much into that movie and every hour I had off I had a photo shoot or interview or prepping for Madame Web," she revealed.

"I wasn't allowed to quiet my brain. And that's hard."

Honestly, it must be super difficult having to deal with trolls not understanding the concept of a character being separate from the actress, and we’re glad that Sydney is able to take it on the chin.
