Louis Tomlinson has spoken out against the wave of “weird” One Direction fan fiction that has inspired movie franchises.
One Direction has always inspired some of the most popular fan fiction ever since the boyband first came together in 2010 - We all had our Wattpad days!
Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Liam Payne, Niall Horan and Zayn Malik were the hottest boyband in the world and with that came an endless amount of fantasy romances and erotic thrillers.

In recent years, the 1D fanfic has been picked right back up, the dust has been blown off the screen and the wild stories have been turned into real-life movies.
Because of that, Louis has now addressed the obsession and criticised the creation of these stories.
Louis told the Telegraph: "It's weird, all that shit," referring to the film adaptions.
The one direction star made reference to Robin Lee’s book ‘The Idea of You’, which tells the story of an older woman falling in love with the lead singer of the hottest boyband: "Reality is reality, even though I'd prefer they didn't. I won't be watching it."
According to Robin Lee, the director of ‘The Idea of You,’ she was inspired to write the script after seeing Harry Styles' face and learning about his relationships with older women.
Harry, Zayn, and Niall have not yet publicly expressed their opinions about the One Direction-inspired fan fic.
But Liam has actually given the ‘After’ movies based on Harry Styles fan fiction high praise.
In 2020, he posted on Instagram and stated: "Congratulations to the girl who wrote those. It's so cool that being in that band has created so many great things."
So Louis is not on board the fan fic wave, but what I really want to know is what Harry thinks of this whole situation!
