'I was lucky': Khloe Kardashian reveals why she had immediate surgery on her face

“Most people aren’t as lucky as me. I am forever thankful and grateful.”

After being seen with a bandage on her face in recent weeks, Khloé Kardashian set the record straight about having surgery to remove a tumour from her face.

In a series of Instagram stories the Kardashian revealed she noticed that something wasn’t quite right when she spotted a little lump on her cheek.

“After noticing a small bump on my face and assuming that it was something as minor as a zit, I decided to get it biopsied 7-months after realising it wasn’t budging,” she revealed in the first pic.

Following a second biopsy, doctors revealed that she needed surgery immediately to remove the growth.

Khloé went on to share that her surgeon completely removed the growth, with very little concern about any further risk, and she is now in the healing process.

Even poking a little fun at herself, Khloé said: “I hope you enjoy how fabulous I’m making these bandages look.”

In an interview with E! Khloé’s surgeon revealed that although the lump wasn’t diagnosed as cancerous, "If it was left there, it's possible."

Khloé has shared how thankful she is to have gotten the situation under control early.

“I was lucky, and all I have is a scar to tell the story with,” the Kardashian said gratefully about her experience.

“Most people aren’t as lucky as me. I am forever thankful and grateful.”

Khloé has used her experience to remind others just how important it is to get checked if any early signs of a growth appear.

Revealing that she had previously been through a similar scare, the youngest Kardashian sister shared: "At 19 years old, I had melanoma on my back, and I had surgery to remove that as well, so I am pre-disposed to melanomas.”

"Even those who are not, we should be checking all the time."

We're thrilled that Khloé's surgery went smoothly and that her recovery is progressing well; she really is making those bandages look fab!
