With the latest update on Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson's surrogacy journey exploding in the most recent episode of ‘The Kardashians’, we thought we would take you on a journey through the WHOLE timeline as explained by Khloé herself.
Let’s face it, we were all confused af trying to stay up to date with all the crossovers of the multiple scandals - Tristan, we’re looking at you - surrounding the birth of their second child together.

Let’s start with the whole paternity scandal that exploded back in 2021.
In season one of ‘The Kardashians’, we were under the impression that Khloé and Tristan were in a good place after he had previously cheated on her with her sister Kylie Jenner’s best friend Woods.
Discussing their future together and having their first daughter True Thompson’s best interests at heart, we all hoped that Tristan would keep IT in his pants and salvage his relationship with Khloé.
“It was just a great thing. Thinking it was, like, this real healthy, loving, protective type of family,” Khloé explained her feelings at the time.
But then shit absolutely hit the fan when we found out that behind Khloé’s back, Tristan was found to be the father of a child with his personal trainer Maralee Nichols.
The baby was believed to have been conceived on March 13, 2021, after Tristan left a lavish birthday party Khloé had given for him to receive a "birthday surprise" from Maralee in Texas.
Tristan admitted that he had many sexual encounters with Maralee while dating Khloé.

Of course, as soon as Khloe found out about the cheating, she ended their relationship. However, at this point, the embryo implantation of their second child together had been successful and it was made public in July 2022 that she was expecting her second child with him via surrogate.

This naturally raised a mountain of questions, which Khloé has thankfully explained in the most recent episode of the family’s reality show.
“We did an embryo transfer days before Thanksgiving,” she explained before revealing that she “found out about Tristan’s situation the first week of December, and it’s just so close, I wouldn’t want anyone to think I did this after the fact.”
Because of how close the embryo transfer was to the scandal, the rest of the Kardashian clan were still unaware that they’d even gone forward with surrogacy.
Khloé explained: “There was a minute, from what I could see from watching the finale, I think Kim says, if this is not a sign that you shouldn’t have another baby with him, I don’t know what is.”

But what we didn’t see was this was the point where Khloé had to tell her sister that the surrogacy was a success.
A visibly upset Khloé explained: “I wanted to keep this private for my loved ones as long as possible and not have this be some media frenzy that people get to just play with and run with.”
So at this point, Tristan’s secret baby was already on the way, and the surrogacy had already gone ahead, which makes this whole thing so much more heartbreaking.
Her voice cracked as she continued: “I can’t hear about this for months about what an idiot I am, what a dumb bitch I am, all these things from everybody else.”

I don’t think anyone could blame you for wanting to extend your family - if anything it has made us furious at Tristan and how unbelievable his actions have been.
Kylie Jenner perfectly explained in a confessional that “it’s really fucked up that he knew that he had another baby on the way with somebody else, which makes me uncomfortable.”
“To put someone in that position, especially when there’s a child involved, this was really unforgivable in my books.”
Khloé later described Tristan’s paternity scandal as “a dark cloud around something that is supposed to be so joyous” and said she buried her head in the sand trying to avoid the problem.
Honestly, having watched this whole thing play out, you can’t help but think how much of an evil act that is. Thankfully Khloé’s second baby arrived happy and healthy on July 28, 2022, and has revealed that she has been enjoying the love and bond she has been building with her baby boy.
