Jason Momoa has done the unthinkable and chopped off that beautiful, long hair of his that has made approximately 99% of the female population fall in love with him, but, don’t worry girlies, it’s for a really good cause.
The Hawaiin hunk posted a close-up selfie video of him in the midst of a haircut to his Instagram. There is one extremely noticeable absence in the video - his locks!
In the video, he greets his 17 million followers with an “Aloha everyone” before asking someone to “hand me those braids”, then showing off two of his cut-off braids to the camera.
He then went on to say he shaved his hair to help save the planet by drawing attention to the amount of rubbish in our oceans and on our lands.
“I'm tired of these plastic bottles, we gotta stop. Plastic forks, all that s**t. S**t goes into our land, goes into our ocean,” he said.
“The things in our ocean, it's just so sad. So, please, anything you can do to eliminate single-use plastics in your life. Help me."
The ‘Fast and Furious' actor explained more in the caption, encouraging people to spread love to planet Earth.
“Here's to new beginnings. Let’s spread the aloha, be better at protecting our land and oceans.”
“We need to cut single-use plastics out of our lives and out of our seas. Plastic bottles, plastic bags, packaging, utensils all of it. Let’s aloha our ‘āina [land] together”.
Momoa hasn’t shared a photo of the new buzzcut, leaving us awaiting on the final yay or nay verdict. But let’s be honest, he’s going to pull it off. And we’re sure once he does, there will be an influx in dudes with shaved heads as they try to be mo’ like Momoa.
