You all would have heard the news by now that Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson have officially ended their relationship after nine months and plenty of headlines.
The LA Times broke the story over the weekend, saying that “the pair broke up but decided to remain friends” claiming that the two have busy schedules, making it hard to keep the love going.
But we, and the rest of the internet, reckon there’s something juicier behind the breakup.
The leading theory coming from Twitter is that the whole relationship was a PR stunt born from the mind of Kris Jenner.
Khloe Kardashian just gave birth, with the father being the scumbag that is Tristan Thompson, but the media is just talking about the end of Kim and Pete.
But that’s not where the tea stops spilling. Kim and Pete started dating nine months ago… Do you know what else lasts nine months? A whole term of pregnancy!
Was Kris thinking ten steps ahead and pairing her second daughter with the former SNL comedian together to stir the pot and get the people talking, knowing that they would break up as the baby boy was born?
In the meantime, the relationship would keep a Kardashian in the headlines and give people a reason to tune in to their new show on Hulu.
An anonymous report to Deuxmoi backs that Kim/Pete was good for show content.
“Kardashian producers are scrambling to keep the Kim and Pete romance alive until season 2 is finished airing,” the submission reads.
Apparently, Kim travelled to Australia, where Pete is filming a movie, to get some lovey-dovey footage for the show, but instead, there was “only tension between the two”.
Iiiiinteresting.
Other far less juicy reports say that the two broke up because of long distance and the age gap - Kim is 41 and Pete is 28.
Page Six reports that the two are in totally different stages of their life at the moment, and with Kim being a mother it’s hard to find time together.
“Pete is totally spontaneous and impulsive and wants her to fly to New York,” a source said.
“But Kim has four kids and it isn’t that easy. She needs to focus on the kids.”
We may never know the real reason they broke up, but we do know Kris Jenner is a mastermind at influencing the narrative.
We also should never count out Kanye, who may have gone to supernatural lengths to get his baby mama back.
