Julia Fox causes TikTok chaos after saying parents should buy kids 'mini-mops' instead of toys

She also reckons that childhood was created as a money-grabbing technique.

Julia Fox has caused absolute chaos in her comments section after encouraging parents to buy cleaning tools instead of toys for their children because they should be acting like “mini adults”.

The actress shared her opinion on TikTok saying that her 19-month-old son Valentino "doesn't care for his toys".

Julia suggests that "everyone buy their kid a mini-mop and mini-broom and start teaching them those life skills really young, so when they enter the real world they don't have to outsource for everything. And they know how to do things for themselves. I think that's really important."

Oh, and if taking away toys isn’t already a cooked thing to say she also believes that childhood was created as a money-grabbing technique.

Sorry, what is that even supposed to mean?!

She said: "The idea of childhood was invented as a way to get parents to spend a lot of money on s*** that's not really teaching your kid anything".

"You just end up raising a kid that’s helpless and doesn’t know what to do."

And reckons that "the concept of childhood was only invented in the 18th century".

She added: "Prior to that, children were just regarded as little adults."

The video received some fkn hilarious responses from viewers, including some from parents who jokingly said that their kids were already on the job.

One commenter joked, “when my son was born the first outfit I gave him was nurses scrubs and he’s worked full time in the hospital ever since.”

Another said: “Completely agree my son has been doing electric work in our home since he was 1.5 yrs.”

“This is true. My 4yr old filed my taxes for me last year,” a third added.

In a follow-up TikTok, Julia jokingly asked her son “do you work in a labour camp?”

Of, course the answer was no, but it is great that Julia can see the funny side of the reactions she is getting online.
