Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian slam Instagram for wanting to be TikTok soooo bad

Kylie is the second most followed person on the social media app, while Kim is the seventh, so it will be interesting to see if Instagram listens to a couple of members of ‘gram royalty.

If you don’t know what Kylie and Kim are talking about, Instagram has been pushing their short-form videos, AKA reels, onto more and more people’s feeds, which no one asked for.

Not only that, but the reels they are showing people are from accounts they aren’t following and can be completely unrelated to what people want to see, and that's made people demand change.

Adam Mosseri, the head of Instagram, has admitted that when you see some recommended stuff on your feed that you don’t want to see, it means Instagram is doing a bad job.

He released a video on Twitter addressing the concerns raised by Kim and Kylie (although he did not mention them directly).

He said that photos are a big part of Instagram and its history, but he wants the app to push videos more because that’s what people are making and consuming.

“I want to be clear,” he says. “We’re going to continue to support photos - it’s a part of our heritage. I love photos, I know a lot of you out there love photos too.”

That said, I need to be honest - I do believe that more and more of Instagram is going to become video over time.

"We see this even if we change nothing," he continued.  "We see this even if you just look at chronological feed. If you look at what people share on Instagram, that’s shifting more and more to videos over time.”

“If you look at what people consume and view on Instagram, that’s also shifting more and more to video over time… We’re going to have to lean into that shift while continuing to support photos.”

Sooo, sounds like Kylie and Kim's wishes will not come true, we're sure they’ll be fine y'know with being billionaires and all.
