Makeup Looks from 'Euphoria' you need to recreate

trending 17/02/2022

Let's be honest, since Euphoria first came out, the show's served up enough looks to fill an entire Pinterest mood board.

Now into the second season, the show's makeup looks are intended to mirror the emotions of the characters. Speaking with POPSUGAR, Doniella Davy, Euphoria's makeup department head, says " The looks [are] even more raw and expressive, This whole season is a bit darker — a lot darker."

The show's creator, Sam Levinson worked with Davy to see how the makeup in season two could relfect what was next for the characters. "I was thinking, 'What else do I want to say about makeup?" Said Levinson.

"How can I continue the story of what "Euphoria" season one makeup was and shift it — make it more refined, more mysterious or discoverable, maybe less color across the board, but super bold color just here and there?'".

And because the show has been serving up absolute looks, we've put together a list of how you can recreate the makeup of three of our fave characters.

Maddy

According to Davy, Alexa Demie, who plays Maddy, had a lot of input into her character's look. After listening to her ideas, Davy said  "I tied the look back into the show by having my Euphoria makeup assistant, Kirsten Coleman, add tiny floating rhinestones into the black eye shadow'.

The key to the look, along with the rhinestones, is the eye shadow "The darker shadow is matte, while the lighter shadow on the majority of the eyelid is shimmery,” says Davy, along with the glam lashes, Ardell’s Faux Mink Wispies should definitely do the trick.

Jules

If there's one thing you think about when Jules comes to mind, it's the colourful eyeliner.

"Hunter Schafer, just like her character Jules, is an artist, so I wanted her looks to feel painterly or like tiny drawings,” says Davy.

So grab a light coloured eyeshadow, and the liquid liner, using DUO Line It or Lash It means you can use it as an eyeliner and adhesive to apply lashes all in one.

Kat

Speaking of colour, not many people love it more than Kat so if you're turning up her fiesty vibes, grab yourself a vibrant eyeshadow, Ardell's Brow Pomade for the extra thicc brows, a red lipstick and boom, you're ready to head to school.
