Rihanna may have been busy with launching the most recent collection of her successful lingerie brand, but she hasn't forgotten about her next album.

The Grammy Award winner is simply taking her time to "explore." She claims that her new music will be very different from her previous sound.

“You’re not going to expect what you hear. Just put that in your mind,” Rihanna said in a recent interview before the taping of her “Savage X Fenty Show Vol. 3” event, which is available now on Amazon Prime Video.

“Whatever you know of Rihanna is not going to be what you hear,” said the singer, who has won nine Grammys in multiple genres including dance, rap and what the Recording Academy then called urban contemporary.

“I’m really experimenting. Music is like fashion. You should be able to play. I should be able to wear whatever I want. I treat music the same way. So I’m having fun and it’s going to be completely different.”

Rihanna’s last album was her critically acclaimed eighth album, "ANTI," released five years ago and featured singles including "Work," "Love on the Brain," and "Needed." She announced last year that she had begun recording new music and was holding "tons of writing camps."

As of now there has been no release date announced for her new album, but we are hoping it is on its way very soon!
