Selena Gomez revealed to Vogue that she’s considering retiring from music as she feels like people don’t take her seriously, but she wants to give it “one last try”.
The singer is on the cover of Vogue’s April edition promoting her new Spanish EP. In the interview, she admits that she’s had moments where she questions her music career as she has asked herself what’s the point?
"Lose You to Love Me' I felt was the best song I've ever released, and for some people, it still wasn't enough, ... I think there are a lot of people who enjoy my music, and for that, I'm so thankful, for that I keep going, but I think the next time I do an album it'll be different."
She goes on to say,
“I want to give it one last try before I maybe retire music.”
"I need to be careful," Selena clarifies that she wants to "give [herself] a real shot at acting."
She’s currently working on a comedy with Steve Martin called ‘Only Murders in the Building’. Selena says that she hasn’t even touched the service of what she wants to do.
"The parts that I want are the ones I need help with," she explained. "I can't wait for the moment when a director can see that I'm capable of doing something that no one's ever seen."
We’re glad to hear that Selena is willing to give her music career another chance before completely refocusing on her acting career. Her new EP ‘Revelación’ will be released later this week.
