Joaquin Phoenix rumoured to have signed a 2-sequel contract to play the Joker again

scandal 15/09/2020

Joaquin Phoenix is rumoured to star as the Joker for not one, but two (YES TWO!!) more sequels. Umm, yes please.

Reports say a $50 million offer has been put on the table and Joaquin Phoenix has taken it which is great news for the fans of this soon-to-be movie franchise.

Despite last year's controversy surrounding the age rating of Joker (which was 15 years old, given by the BBFC) which ruffled a few feathers, Joaquin Phoenix has been in talks to return for a double helping of the villain.

The plan to make the two sequels in the next four years, with a long-term commitment to Joaquin and his Joker director Todd Phillips and producer Bradley Cooper. It's all about getting Joaquin to accept the terms (and the biggest payday of his career by far).

Production is hoping to have the sequels ready by 2022 and 2024.

Get excited!
